VC2C

Science and defence customers only

A low frequency underwater transducer for marine science, from 50 Hz to 1.5 kHz. It is pressurised topside to match its fixed operating depth.

Lubell VC2C yellow low frequency underwater transducer

Overview

The VC2C is a dual piston underwater acoustic transducer covering 50 Hz to 1.5 kHz, with a resonance at 115 Hz. It is sold to marine scientists and laboratories, ocean engineers and the military.

Before deployment, the VC2C is inflated with the supplied hand pump to the pressure that matches its operating depth. Set up and operation must be supervised by an engineer with a background in ocean engineering.
